Last night I was channel surfing and came across a TV show that caught my interest. The program had already been on for about twenty minutes but it had some actors in it that I liked so I thought I would take a peak. Within minutes my was really intrigued by the show, they were looking for a kidnapped girl who had diabetes!
As the two police officers were headed out in hot pursuit of the alleged kidnapper, one turns to the other and states that "this could be really serious because the girl has diabetes." The other officers says that she had "Type 1 diabetes and has to have her insulin before she goes into insulin shock." At that point I kind of went, huh? To continue reading my post, please go to

Hmm perhaps this could be an educating moment. I love the show, and I am sure they meant well, I believe they have a website (most shows do) Maybe flip them a email and let them know the truth about diabetes and you are concerned that the wrong message is being shown. Any thoughts??
