Third A1C result since starting Afrezza

I completely agree. I have been coaxing her to get one since she started Afrezza but rationally it was probably wise to tackle one thing at a time. I’m positive the CGM will take her to the next level of control.

It’s also worth mentioning (somehow this gets lost in people’s psyche) that it’s not like she’s signing a contract to use a cgm for the rest of her life…

It’s valuable just as a short term or intermittent learning tool as well. If the pros outweigh the cons she might want to keep using it forever, but it’s not like there’s some kind of obligation too. People seem to lose sight of that a lot.

Again Sam I so agree with what you are saying. I mentioned exactly that to her. I think it could actually help her educate herself on a case by case food to food basis what it’s going to take to control it. She’s moe inclined to try it now mind you because bikini season is coming to an end. I suggested to her that for beach vacations, or even during the summer she doesn’t HAVE to wear it! I’m excited for her to try it out. I’m very optimistic about the help it will provide her.

It’s the same with trying anything new… People are convinced irrationally that if they try anything new there’s no going back (read the tresiba and afrezza threads for countless examples)

I used a cgm for about 6 months, learned a lot from it, reached a point where I felt like the pros no longer outweighed the cons, and put it away. Glad I used it, may benefit from one again at some point in the future… For now I’m doing fine without one…

Hope she gets some benefit from it

I too don’t like being connected to stuff but I find the CGM does not make me feel connected in any way. Just the opposite, it is freed me by letting me know my sugars at a glance or by not even looking since I have tight alarms set. And it’s small and doesn’t hurt one bit.

You say that “When she learned that SNY was exiting…it was at that point I decided to do everything I/we can to support Afrezza,” but your twitter page shows over a year ago you were attacking David Kliff for his comments about afrezza and MNKD:

https://twitter.com/dtroue1003/status/639523551133892608

Were/are you a MNKD shareholder?

I am a shareholder and an advocate. People of sound mind support causes with their time or their money. I have done both. She has no financial interest in MNKD. I have never hidden my personal or my financial interest in this story. There is no Afrezza wout a company to support it. MNKD represents a very small percentage of my financial interests. Are you a diabetic? Do you have a personal interest in diabetes and the pain those with this disease endure daily? If not I cordially invite you to recuse yourself from this discussion.

How does it change the results and control his gf achieved on Afrezza?

Can you be a bit straight?

I agree, this conversation is not about stock, how does it suddenly get twisted that way? Why do people constantly want to question Afrezza results? I don’t see the same scrutiny when it doesn’t work out, and nor should there be. It should be the same when it does, the parinoia around this drug is alive and well apparently, what a shame, honestly …

This is great video of Afrezza users talking about their results. Its almost a year old, but if you haven’t seen it, its well worth the time.

Sorry but I’m sometimes suspicious of certain afrezza promoters. The OP, for example, started tweeting and promoting afrezza and attacking anyone criticizing it back around early August of 2015, well before his girlfriend tried it. He has tweeted about literally nothing else since then. Looks like hundreds of tweets promoting afrezza. Granted, he may just be excited about the results they’re getting, and I apologize if I’m overstepping, but I just find it disconcerting that the only subject he seems interested in is afrezza.

I don’t find it odd. There are accounts on Twitter who are on injectables and keep tweeting most of the day on their insulin issues high low… roller coasting…

What do you say of them?

I think some Afrezza users post CGM snapshots, lab results, average blood sugars… do u think they are photoshopped? I don’t think so …

They are just happy I guess with their control and freedom. I read some of the tweets that say , after yrs of uncontrollable blood sugars, they are able to finally control diabetes.

On the other side, if you tried and didn’t work for you, then I can understand you want to have discussion as to why.

But with out trying, I wouldn’t suspect. It’s just not right

I think I even saw a video of JDRF chief scientist saying Afrezza is a miracle drug for him. So you suspect him too?

Did you try Afrezza at all?
There are peoplethat posted here desperately looking for a doc to get Afrezza.

I may have a doubt as to if it would work for me too as it depends, but personally I won’t suspect others results. May be it’s just me.

I find it odd that you just recently signed up in TU just to make this observation, so touché …
