A group of researchers from the Department of Biomedical Informatics of Columbia University has developed a new application for diabetes self-management. The application is a combination of an interactive website and text messages. Using the application, individuals with diabetes can keep track of their blood glucose readings. Based on these readings, the application can help individuals to recognize problematic patterns in blood glucose, think about what behaviors may contribute to these patterns, and can make personalized recommendations in regards to new self-management behaviors. If you are interested and eligible for the study, you may have a chance to use the application and make new discoveries about your diabetes. We hope that this study will help us to design better tools for diabetes self-management.
