Just read that Los Angeles is now implementing TSA-style xray screening at its stations in the coming months. It says screening will be voluntary, but that if you choose not to be screened, you don’t get to ride the subway. Below is the article. I wanted to post this here as a heads up, but am also wondering if any of you know more about it than I do. I assume this means I can no longer ride the subway with my pump and CGM.
I don’t think it’s x-ray, it’s another technology that doesn’t emit radiation. I’m sure you’ll be fine, I’ve put my Dexcom sensors through the x-ray and walked through metal detectors with my pump a million times. Never had a problem.
