Type 1's in Toronto

I have been a type one diabetic for over eight years (I'm 20). My doctor just switched me to humalog and lantus. (I used to be on regular and nph syringes, twice a day).

I grew up as pretty much the only type 1 on my home island, and while I've done the whole 'online penpal thing' I'd really like to meet up with another diabetic in person to discuss pens/syringes, highs/lows, the all-important juice box.

A bit about me:

I'm a college student studying baking and pastry. I live in the GTA area, I love cooking and food in general. I enjoy reading and old music.

I have a diabetic alert dog (self trained)

Feel free to reply to this regardless of your age--I'd really like to talk to someone else who understands the ins and outs of being a diabetic!
