I received a “Claims Processed Form” from the insurance company. They denied the hospital’s claim . I still owe doctor #1 for “materials”. Maybe they remodeled the examination room after I left. The next day, I received a refund from the hospital. The day after that, I received a bill from doctor #2 for just the copay. Still waiting for more bills. I was under the impression that the insurance company was putting all of this on my deductible. This is really a big releif, but I still wonder about the hospital. Do they give you a refund before they hit you with the big one? I might have to wait a long time to find out . I remember one time it took six months for a claim to be settled. I don’t have a memory that long. I have one question. Has everybody lost their mind? Or are their offices on different planets. Well you live and learn.
I also had a “trip” to the hospital for IV antibiotics for cellulitis in my knee. That was for 3 days the end of Oct- 1st of Nov. I got the hospital bill yesterday, and I was surprised to see that Medicare had paid most of it; I “only” have to pay $922, so I’ll be reminded of this bad trip for the next 9 months. I’m still waiting for the bills for the internist, the surgeon, the ER surgeon, the infectious disease specialist; I’m sure you know about all that already!!
