Using a pump, do you use way more insulin?

Mom says the pump was set up by the doctor to continually deliver “units” of insulin. We’re down to 1/4 of Novolog. No Rx and no more insulin left.

Should we take out the pump and manually do sugar checks and shots of insulin?

Total rookie here. Mom is from Tennessee and we are in California.

Oops.

Not are what you are referring to.

Yes, take by injection! Not sure what you mean that you don’t have an Rx. You have Novolog for injections, but not for your pump?

I actually us about 60% to 70% of the insulin while on a pump. I was using about 150 units before the pump and now I am using about 75-90 units.

Call your doctor and see if they will not give you a bottle just explain to them what the problem is.
