I just wanted to share with everyone that I have not had any trouble with too much water exposure (minus the regular decline in tackiness from the tape) with my DexCom sensors. I know the manual says something about <30 minutes of exposure in 1 meter of water, but I swim three days a week for about an hour in the pool (so I guess I am still in <1m of water) and haven’t had any trouble with the physical hardware declining. I don’t keep the receiver with me on the deck because while it would be nice to know how I am doing as my swim progresses, the length of the pool is greater than the radius of the sensor so it can’t maintain the connection. Maybe if I had someone pacing on the sideline as I swam I would get good readings. :] Just wanted to share that, in case anyone else was concerned.
