Ok, this is way off the topic , as in Diabetes is here and this is over in the pacific Ocean. But i have to ask, was last nights conclusion of How i met your mother a flop or a great conclusion? Twitter, the critics, commentators are saying it was the worst ever ending of a TV show. I personally think Sienfeld was the worst but for sake of argument, lets not compare our worsts.
Was last nights HIMYM end terrible? Was it shocking to see a whole season of these tow idiots getting married only to find out the truth 3 years later? Was it shocking to see the original two who everyone wanted to see get married, finally get married? Was Barney's fate sealed forever by his awful ways?
Now for my opinion. I only hated the fact they wasted a whole season with a marriage ceremony that was totally ridiculous. Then showed us last night what happened three years later.
Ok your turn. I am glad the ceremony is at least over and these writers can maybe do something more productive. this whole season for me was enough to gag a maggot.

By the way I read today that they wrote and shot the ending 5 seasons ago. So the writers were actually writing to the ending for the last 5 seasons. Gotta love, no not really. never mind.
Last episode of Star Trek... "Turnabout Intruder" was pretty bad. A lot of bad Treks the third season overall... if it weren't for the horribleness of the "Space Hippies" (augh! Herbert! Stop the extended Vulcan Zither jam session!) and the schlock of "They Stole Spock's Brain" (which was just so funny sometimes), "Turnabout Intruder" would've been the worst.
I actually preferred Barney and Robin as a couple. I liked the emotional journeys that both took to get to a place where they could actually have a long term relationship.
I thought Ted and Robin weren't as great a couple, and the repeating blue trumpet motif was more than a little cheesy. I guess I would have been more into it if they had told us more of the love story between Ted and the mother, for example as in a montage like the animated movie Up. Then the emotional story of Ted being ready for a new relationship would have been substantially more compelling.
