Weight loss surgery has changed my life forever! Since having the gastric sleeve surgery earlier this year, I IMMEDIATELY stopped taking a handful of my diabetic prescriptions, including ALL of my insulins.
The only prescription I am currently taking is 2mg of Gabapentin at night, that's it! I'm waking up with a fasting bg of about 95 right now so I'm thinking I may change to 1mg fairly soon. I'm hoping by January 2014 I will be medication/insulin FREE!!!!
Before WLS, there was no hope for me but now that I"m sleeved, I feel FREE!!!!

Wow, that is amazing! I have heard other people say they've had success with this also . I hope you continue to have these great results :)

How much weight have you lost ? i am meeting with a weight loss surgeon this coming week and i am looking forward to getting similar results. Though I am type 1, I am hopeful that maybe I will get similar results. Thanks for the post today.
