When I started to enjoy week 2 beginning, when I took a shower, I thought my sensor was ok. Once I got to my boyfriends bedroom, well it fell off...So I am waiting until tomorrow morning to begin again as I dont think if I started it tonight, I can stay awake to calibrate. This time, I'll use IV prep and the tape I used. I really want to have a long usage.
I have found that just the Flexifix tape(clear, 4" wide, hole cut out for sensor) sticks for more than 3 weeks, even swimming. I do wipe the entire area with an alcohol wipe and try to change after a shower to get any oils, residue or dead skin off the area first.
Please let us know how the IV prep works and what tape you end up using
Opsite Flexifix has never fallen off !
I should clarify that the sensor fails before Flexifix and I have to peel it off. It isn't painful, but, the tape is certainly still sticking well. I think the thin film helps it follow the contours of the body.
thanks guys...I need to find out where I can get the flexifix stuff. I also am waiting for Dexcom to replace the sensor
We got our flexifix on Amazon - I think that is the cheapest place. You get a big roll that lasts forever.

Yeah I got my last roll from Amazon as well. Get the 4 inch stuff though, not the 2 inch.
You may want to try the 4x5 inch sticky film to secure it. That's what I do.
