What do you think of my opera?

As some of you may know, I’m a composer whose taken on the task of writing an opera about diabetes.

I have a page on my website dedicated to this project, and I keep it as up-to-date as possible. Right now, it’s hosting a ‘virtual tour’ of the opera - giving a glimpse of what the final project will look like using sound samples recorded at a recent workshop.

At this point, I’m excited to hear what you all think! Feedback, criticism, suggestions… it’s all welcome!

Very interesting idea! My worst diabetes musical nightmare is trying to tune a freaking guitar when I was hypo as I overdid it, squeezing in a round of golf after work before band practice one night.

Sounds like such FUN. It’s such a dark subject with such wonderful high notes!
I wonder if people will really pay to see it! It is everyone’s FEAR that they will get diabetes.
And when he gets OLD, everyone will think he should have complications, but I hope that he is so well controlled he won’t! Right?
I think some hypo incidents will be marvelous. In jail due to police lack of information? Singing from the jail with the prisoners?
