Renka and Shoshanna, again thanks for your thoughts. Medicare? I've spoken to 3 different agents and a Medicare Manager. They have no clue about what is going on - first, they have many suppliers - both brick and mortar and mail order listed. However I've called everyone in my county. All I was told is that there must be a provider listed or they are all too selfish and charging too much. Here is the reality - either the the listed pharmacy or mail order suppliers do not bill part B for insulin at all or they get too little of a Medicare reimbursement. When I told them that I was told I was wrong so I spoke with a manager. When I let her know that the listed companies where not inuslin providers but they were durable medical equipment companies. She decided to test me and she gave me about 10 providers. All of whom I had already called. I asked her why would an oxygen supplier be listed? When I spoke to companies incorrectly listed I asked them to call Medicare to remove themselves from the list. They said it was too much trouble. Medicare said I could not request that they remove them from the incorrect Medicare listing. Only the supplier could do that. The result is an enormous amount of time wasted searching and checking for help. My doctor and his nurse were not able to help either. They said they do not work with the insulin suppliers. So here I am. All I've received for my efforts has been complements for being tenacious but no idea of what to do. My next step is to see about trying to push political help. I'll let you know how I make out. Again is anyone else using a mail order Medicare Part B supplier currently?
