I have had some really low numbers and I am currently trying to tweak the numbers of units.
I am currently taking 55 to 60 units. Sometimes my blood sugar levels become really low.
i now take 55 units of levimer every 12 hours
22 units with regular excerise
I am lucky…still in my honeymoon I guess…my night dosage is 10 units…I had started of with 6 when I was diagnosed nearly a year ago…though I eat very little carbs during the day…max 120 gr and try to exercize…have noticed if I do not exercize a bit my rapid insuline needs go up quite a bit
22 units of Lantus which i take at 9:00 pm
Lantus 34 units AM, 13 units PM
If you find yourself getting low at night, you may want to look into splitting UNEVENLY your lantus…
Talk to your endo
Ideally youd take the split about 12 hours apart…
36 units in afternoon
I take 5 units in the evening…
I take 22 units at 9pm. My doctor told me to add 4 units if my sugar is very high.
I take 22 units at 9:30pm. I was at 20 and they just changed it… my sugar has been much better since then!
I am on 90 units of Lantus in the morning
I’m glad to hear that others take lantus in the morning. I have much better numbers since taking it in the morning as opposed to before bed.
I take 25 units when I wake up. My doctor wanted me to take it at night but I’ve had much better numbers since taking it in the morning. I find myself going low at least once a day because I’m experimenting with my dosage.
i’m currently taking 30 units in the morning but i’m slowly taking it down because i have to eat 50-60 carbs before bed with NO fast acting to not wake up low through the night (that’s if my night bs is perfect). trying my hardest to prove to my dr i’m on too much!!
I currently take 100 units of Lantus in the morning and 100 units of Lantus at night. if my sugars are high mid day, i take 25 units of Humalog. I recently started taking CoQ10 300 mg in the morning and 300 mg at night, been able to reduce my nightly dose of Lantus to 50 units and dont need to take the Humalog anymore! the CoQ10 has also helped with my Frozen shoulder, and problems with gas and diarrhea.
what is coq10 & what does frozen shoulder have to do w/ it?? r u on the pump?? do you carb count for your humalog??
Daughter: 13 units in the morning and 15 units at night
Son: 2 units in the morning and 17 units at night.
Split shots work beautifully for both of my kids. If you are still having ups and downs, you might want to discuss it with your doctor.
50 units once in the morning. I also use Novolog (insulin aspart) before meals.
am new to this and at 12 units right now
