What's your favorite diabetes joke?

I’m picking up a thread on my blog [www.spinningdinnerplates.com ] about the kinds of stories we tell ourselves. The series is based on the seven basic plots: overcoming the monster; rags to riches; the quest; voyage and return; comedy; tragedy; and rebirth.

I’m up to comedy and I need a little help.

While I value humor in my day-to-day life, I’m having trouble coming up with jokes related to diabetes that aren’t based in blame and shame. I don’t want to write about what happens if you eat infinite pie. I want to write about what truly tickles your funny bone.

So, what’s your favorite joke related to diabetes?

I follow Dee Hero on Facebook and get almost daily laughs about diabetes. Brad is Type 1 but is an equal opportunity humorist when it comes to diabetes.

How bad was that low?

It was powerful and sneaky, like a tornado bearing down on a trailer park.
