ADA Tour de Cure, Brielle, NJ.
May 30th.
I was planning on doing the 62, but a close friend decided to get married the following weekend, and I’m on the hook to plan his bachelor party. Cutting my ride back to 35miles so that I can enjoy the man-activities. Paintball, canoeing, campfiring, Philly Phillies game.
After that, there is a 65mile ACS Bike a thon, a 50 mile Lance Armstrong ride in Philly, a sprint triathlon (800m/12mi/2mi), a 40 mile hill climb along the Delaware river, and the City to Shore MS150 to cap off the season. I probably will skip one or two of them, but they are all on the calendar.
I am also so glad that ADA adopted the Red Rider program. What a great idea to showcase the diabetics in the crowd. The TDC always felt a little too much about the money and less about the ride, but that seems to be changing slightly every year. Perhaps it is also just how the local ride is set up.
Toue de cure May 31 Long beach…Just the famliy ride for my 13 year old niece who was just diagnosed lst month.
June 14 Palo alto my 72 miler, my first on my 722 mm.
I am doing the tour de cure ride in northeastern ohio. I will be doing the 62 mile ride through the Cuyahoga Valley National Forest. I have been training hard for the ride. The ride has 3 big hills. I have logged 1550 miles since the 1st of March. Last Sunday I rode from Chagrin Falls to Conneaut Ohio. 75 miles. I have been blessed with some great donors. I have raised 1300 dollars so far. Good luck to all those that are doing rides this summer.
