My blood sugar management hasn't been great lately, to say the least. "Normal" foods (things my endocrinologist hasn't banned me from) like sweet potatoes are seriously getting on my BG's nerves. I've also had two reactive hypos in the last two weeks, which is something I haven't seen since about April.
A couple of days ago, my jaw started to hurt. I honestly thought it was connected to some joint issues I have until I remembered that I was told once a good few years ago that I had a possibly impacted wisdom tooth on that side. I saw my dentist (casually, not for an appt) last night and he said the jaw pain (which has since gotten worse) could definitely be caused by a wisdom tooth. I asked him if it could annoy my blood sugar and he said definitely not. He has T2 diabetes so I'd usually trust him with a question like that, but my blood sugars have been SO irritable the last week or so that I'm beginning to wonder if he could be wrong.
I know that if it were infected it would definitely cause high blood sugars, but I don't think that's the case here.
Anyone had an experience with a wisdom tooth issue and high BG?
