20 Years of Diabetes and Wound Healing- 4 Hair Transplantation-? -URGENT TOPIC-

as i stated above i have type 1 diabetes for 20 years and my A1C is generally around 6. the problem with hair transplation however is as you know diabetes might cause late wound healing and i can get infection by that way.

and to mention about my recovery time i had a serious accident with my bike last week-not to test wound healing time lol- and my medium size woundings scabbed and stands pretty good after six days. and the more serious wounding on my knee has also scabbed but it seems to need more time to recover.

so i request to tell me what you know about this topic as soon as possible since i have limited time before my university starts in a month.

thanks already…

I do not know a whole lot about hair transplantation but it seems to me that if you usually heal well and do not get sick a whole lot, with consistent A1c’s in the 6% range, I say go for it. If wound healing has been an issue in the past I would think twice about how important it is to you. I have never had any sort of problems with wound healing and do not get sick a whole lot so if I had the money to transplant I probably would
Good luck!

Hat for sun…Hat for cold weather. Save your money. Treat yourself to a healthy indulgence. Won’t make a bit of difference to anyone worth knowing! But hey, that’s just one bald guy’s opinion!

I know I hit my head which caused a cut and my head bled like a son of a gun. Thought it was never going to stop. No experience with hair transplant. A few years ago I broke down and went with the #1 guard and clippers. Priceless.
