6 weeks - already getting Highs

I just wanted to know what others had experianced. I have already started to get highs and i am only 6 weeks along. I am type 2 and on a pump so i am adjusting things as i go... from everything that i have read it is more common to have lows in the first 12 weeks so i am curious to hear what others have experianced.

Thanks

Many of us experience highs in early pregnancy.

My decreased insulin needs started in week 9 only and lasted until week 19. Then I started increasing my basals in week 20.

Don't worry! Anything can be normal in pregnancy. You have the right attitude that you just have to adjust as you go!! I felt that way through most of the pregnancy!

Me too and completely agree with Kristin, anything goes!
I'm 8 weeks now and I'm still very resistant. But waiting for the sensitivity to hit and then I'll be reducing. First time I was pregnant I didn't become insulin resistant again until well into my 3rd trimester. Everyone is so different but thank god for pumps :0)

I didn't find out I was pregnant until I was 6 weeks, and what tipped me off is that my numbers were extremely high (over 300, which is highly abnormal for me) and it took a LOT of insulin to get my numbers down. I've had to increase my basals slightly, nothing too dramatic, and now in week 10 I'm starting to have more lows. I'm still pretty insulin resistant in the mornings, but some days I'm not. Afternoons are when I go low so I've had to adjust basals there and make sure I eat something at around 4pm.
