To write something? It is not always easy to find something to write about. If any of you feel the urge to tell me to shut up, don’t hesitate! Maybe I should tell you in case you didn’t know, that my terrible stories about Johanna my wife are not entirely true. She really is the best find of my life! She saved my life several times when I went down either with diabetes lows or my heart. She reads what I post about her and she just says “The people know that you are nuts!” Not so nice eh? She laughs a lot about some of my stories about my diabetes experiences, better to laugh than to cry! I may complain about my health situation such as you all do somewhat but really, when I start to count what I have left, there is a lot more than the losses. Same as I can ask you also… What have you left of importance?
Can you still use your body to get around?
Can you smile and even laugh at something you read about?
Can you see, taste, feel?
I have age related macular degeneration and glaucoma but still stun my eye specialist by driving not needing glasses. What can I say, just luck you know! A bunch of good genes!
The list I started is really endless so I will stop with that. However you get the point I’m trying to make!
So you see, starting out not really having a story, there it is.
A bigger story is my heart experience and that specialist, I will relate to you. At the moment I try to get away from my constant troubles.
Thank you for your undivided attention to my stuff and if you like to add to this, you are very, very welcome!
JB, that’s me!

Hey JohnBen:
It’s always Nice to have you here and to learn from your experiences. Good…or not so much. Most of us would be Very Happy to be as mentally stable as you are and alive at your age. You are 80 years old, after all. And no you’re NOT nuts. We don’t laugh at you. We laugh with you. I’m Glad that you have a Good sense of humour. So do I. I love to laugh. As you, we all leave countless important items, like contributions, help, support, knowledge and experiences of importance behind us, as we travel through Life. Even to People that we don’t know.
My Endo told me last month, “Your Cured”. Since all my tests came back in the normal range(except for one excusable) again after 48.5 years with Diabetes. He was kidding, of course. He knows that I’m not cured. But I’m doing Good Diabetes-wise. (Thank God/touch wood).I have another chronic auto-immune disease that causes me way more problems though, plus the drugs for it.
Yes, you have a lot to be Thankful for John. Especially for having a Wonderful Wife like Johanna and having a Good life. She loves you Dearly.
I hope that your heart keeps a-ticking for many years to come. Hey, you did get a 10 year warranty, remember?? Laugh often and I hope that your health goes Good for you!!
Terrie
Thank you all for your responses!
