A friend in need of help getting a pump!

A friend of mine emailed me this morning and said that a friend of his was applying for an insulin pump, but in the middle of the process, found out that her insurance had been cancelled. The only thing I could think of was the iPump site, but that's dedicated to helping children in need of insulin pumps, not adults. I have called some of the pump companies, but the amount up front for the pumps are high, and some financial assistance is available, but not a lot.

I am writing this to ask if anyone knows of anywhere she can contact about getting a pump that wouldn't have a high downpayment and reasonable monthly payments and supply prices. I am doing research now, but not havnig much luck.

Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to get all of my ducks in a row before emailing back.

Thanks, everyone, for your help!!!!!!

I’m not asking for donations or anything like that from any of the TuD members, just trying to find out if there are any organizations to go through to help her get a pump.
