Hey all, I am a 22 year old type 1 diabetic from Toronto, Canada. I recently finished my degree in engineering at the University of Western Ontario in London Ontario. I just got diagnosed with diabetes on October 31st of this year (yup on halloween aka the candy holiday I got diabetes, is that irony? I dont know maybe lol) I’m an avid muscian among other things and love all things music. (got some originals on that website on the left if your feelin like you wanna check it out)
I think I’ve been handling the diagnosis the best I can I’m just having trouble with getting off all the junkish food I used to live off of. But I think necessity will work that out.
Anyways, Until later, Have a good one everyone
Hey Marc,
Welcome to TuDiabetes. This is a great site to visit, I’m here almost every day seeing what’s new. It’s good to know that there are people out there who understand what you’re going through. I noticed that you’re from Toronto. I’m actually from the ‘Collingqwood’ area. (not quite near there, but for safety sake…). Feel free to contact me for anything diabetes related. It’s a tough road to walk and you’ll need all the support you can get. lisa_caswell@hotmail.com
welcome, i hope you like it here!
Welcome, Mark
Hi Mark, welcome to Tudiabetes! I hope you like it here. You’re a musician…awesome. Come and join our music lovers’/musicians’ group! What instruments do you play? I’m a pianist/keyboardist, cum back up vocalist. And I’m a diabetic newbie too, I was diagnosed with diabetes in April and received my life sentence (hahaha) as a T2 in Aug. Anyway hope you’re doing good!
Hi Marc,
I also live and work in Toronto, downtown. Sounds like you’re managing quite well with diabetes. I’ve had diabetes for 26 years now so it has been a long, long time. Lets keep in touch.
