Wow 26. My lowest was 41. I’m a T2 & haven’t had diabetes nearly as long. Good for you for all your hard work with this.
The ultrasound should be an external one at this point. They should be able to hear/see the baby at or after 10 weeks. Might not though depending on your anatomy. They might have to do a vaginal. I’m sure the external will be fine though. Good luck & enjoy.
Congrats on your pregnancy! @ 10 weeks you will have a reg ultrasound, I’m currently 14 weeks pregnant and have been diabetic for 19 years now and I’ve always been able to tell when I’m going low but since I’ve been pregnant I’m not able to all the time one morning I woke up at 48 and felt just fine so now I’m checking my sugars about 12-14 times a day to avoid that from sneaking up on me again. Right now I’m taking the same amount of insulin i was before pregnancy. I have to fax my sugars in every monday to my high risk ob doc and he adjust my meds as needed so far i’m only taking an extra unit for dinner… Once again congrats on your pregnancy and I hope every thing goes well with your ultrasound. It bring tears to your eyes when you finally see your little one for the first time dancing around.
I was just curious about the ultrasound part! I can’t wait, I get to see/hear the little one tomorrow. Sadly, it’s just going to be me and the little seed, since everyone else has to work. But! Can’t wait!
Sharray I also check my sugars like A LOT! Probably close to 12 atleast. Check my fasting and an hour after and before and after and before and after… etc. Along with if I feel funny. I haven’t had any dangerous lows since we changed my nighttime basal.
