I am an MDI’er from South Africa looking at moving onto pumping. Our selection of pumps is really limited - currently the only option are the ones under medtronics banner. After researching pumps on the net I see that there is a variety of options including Animas, Omnipod, Accu-chek to mention but a few. Can anyone give me a contact person with Animas/Omnipod that can assist me with pump sourcing for Southern Africa?

Hi Traicy, I have already contacted them on that number in the US. The American lady I got through to wasn’t able to help me with a contact for sales. I was hoping to get a number from one of the users online that would be able to short-circuit the painful process of going through the call centre. I will try again - just got to remember to phone them at the right time - I think we are 6-8 hours ahead this side… Thanks for the reply.
See if there is an Australian sales rep or English rep. My guess is that if anyone in the USA was able to recommend a person to contact, it would be someone a bit more geographically relevant to you. I have a few reference options at home. I can dig through them and see if it says anything relevant to your situation.
Thanks Chris. Any assistance will be appreciated. It is quite a struggle to get equipment in South Africa unless you are happy to go with Medtronic. I am planning to give the Animas help line a call later today ZA time - the delay on the line also adds to the frustrations…
