I just can't deal with Animas anymore!

All I want is a supplier to get me insets and canisters when I order them. If I could find a local place, even better. Well a call to Animas will get you NOTHING, they can not provide me a list of local suppliers. So I ask for the local rep to call, NOTHING. Call my insurance (Federal BC/BS), sure they can give me local suppliers but just general durable medical equipment suppliers, NOTHING specific.

I just cant take this crap anymore for something that cost me big $ out of pocket. I'm so tired of being just another sale.

I have one more year with this thing and I cant wait to get rid of it. Its honestly easier to deal with MDI then to have to deal with these useless reps.

I have had very good customer service with DSC-Diabetes Specialty Center in Utah.

I’m in SC, but you could check with this supplier: Palmed. 1 888-472-5633. Very nice family run company. I get my Ping supplies from them.

Try these suppliers:

http://www.ccsmed.com/

http://www.sugartest.com/

Both of them carry Animas and they do mail order.

When I had a different insurance I used DSC from Utah. They were very nice and prompt. I used them because they worked with my insurance, otherwise it was out of pocket for everything. I think I f you called them (sorry, no longer have the number) they will confirm your coverage.

Very few of us can get pump supplies locally, so you’re right that you need to find a medical supplier that is accepted by your insurance. It really is your insurance company’s responsibility, not Animas. However, maybe you could try again to get someone from Animas contact your insurance company and see if they can figure this out. I often find with the pump and CGM companies that if you get a rep on the phone who is of little help, call back another time and you may get a rock star rep on the next call. Good luck!

I know finding a local place is a pipe dream and that its my insurance company that is ultimately responsible for the places they cover. However, my bigger issue is trying to get a local rep to call. I don't care if I just want to say "Hi", I should get a call back.

And thanks for all of the suggestions, I think I will be using DSC going forward.

I don't know where "local" is for you, but I had another suggestion for a company that had great customer service. The name is Mini-Pharmacy (I think it has been awhile) They are based in Los Angeles. I know that I got connected with the suppliers I used by my insurance company. After all it is the insurance company that has the contract, not Animas.

Help! What is going on with Animas? I cannot get my order, can't reach anyone by phone...puts me in a queue and then never goes through. Says to call back.

How am I supposed to get my supplies??? Even my endo office has no idea.

I ordered on 12/28/2013 and all it says is "in process."

When I called on Friday, I got a message that they were shut down due to the weather. This may be the root of the current problems.

Steve

I did get that message but how long does it take to process an online order. I'm beginning to feel very concerned. They say to wait for the next rep but then eventually bomb out with a lame message. This has NEVER happened before. I shouldn't have to feel that my health is in danger because I can't get supplies. I've emailed and called. They should at least have a message saying that they are backed up.

Or a message saying that due to weather etc... I believe they are in Pennsylvania.

I understand your rant about not hearing back from a sales rep. at Animas. They hardly ever call anyone back these days. It has been my experience too.

Ask your doctor’s office for contact info for local rep. They usually have a local sales rep that provides service to them.

anyone have contact with animas Canada they keep on telling me My upload update will be ready soon I am now loosing DATA on my One touch ping ! I can’t download my pump for my ENDO? anyone else use MAC IOS 10.8 or later having the same issue ? I am too sick of this !
