I’ve been trying to reorder my pump supplies from Animas for over a month now, and am at my wit’s end with their reorder and customer service departments. I’d love any wisdom others could share. The short version of the story is that Animas is sending authorization requests to my insurance company, but the faxes won’t go through. My insurance says it’s animas’ fault, and animas blames the insurance company. The number has been triple checked by all parties, and the end result is that animas will do nothing other than re-send faxes to a number that is clearly not working. It’s now been over a month and a good 10-15 hours of my time has been spent on the phone with insurance and Animas, and I still have no supplies. Does anyone have experience with filing complaints or getting Animas to actually do something different that results in getting your order fulfilled?
Can you ask Animas to fax or email the forms to you, then you can fax or email them to insurance for authorization. I don’t have experience with filing complaints but I know you can get faxes sent other ways. Make one more call and don’t ask, insist! Good luck.
