So I've had my pump for about a month or so and I finally had to call the number on the back of it... Yesterday at 3 in the morning I got woken up to beeping...No Insulin Delivery... and of course I couldn't find the instruction book...so I broke down and called them. Finally figured out the problem I went to take out the old set and a bunch of blood came pouring out.. I was like "OH SH**T!" lol then I apologized to the lady on the phone...it just freaked me out...looked like I tried to kill someone....so now my poor hello kitty pants are covered with spots of blood :( But I'm glad the problem was solved... So then this morning I only had 4 test strips left so I'm calling the pharmacy and getting there right when they open because I only had an hour till my class started..so I get there and give them the prescription the doc had given me...and they couldn't figure it out..even I couldn't figure it out..something about test strips 4 times a day and something about pads...yeahh so I had specifically told the doc the other day that I've been testing 6-10 times a day now not 4..so he just totally screwed the thing up.. luckily I still had my one prescription for my strips so I was able to get them atleast! But I could hear the pharmacy people talking about my doc and laughing saying "oh it's him!" so yeah...I really really think I need a new doc like NOW! *sigh*
So sorry about the pump issue. It happens, but at 3 in the morning when you're a walking zombie, it's no joke. Glad you could get the strips, even though it wasn't written for enough. Hope the doctor search goes well.
I had that pouring blood issue once! Freaked me out too! Never imaging so much blood could come from a little injection site
As someone who is investigating pumps, this scares the crap out of me.
