I have been having alot of pressure between my ears and my face is tightening. I have been taking Reactine since Friday the 19th. The side effects of these medicines scare the heck out of me. What can I use that will help me with minimal side effects?
Googling, I see Reactine is cetirizine. The side effect I get from that is drowsiness.
I take Levocetirizine (a US brand name is Xyzal) but and have much less drowsiness as a side effect. I take it pretty much every day except for three months in winter.
I had taken Reactine for 3 days, including today and at church this morning I had this intense drowsiness. I thought it was fatigue but I’ve had fatigue before and it didn’t feel like that. I am now convinced it was the cetrizine. I am going to call my doctor on Tuesday and see if he will prescribe my some saline nasal spray. Much safer than ingesting a pill.
