Anyone take apart a Dexcom G5 receiver?

My wife washed and dried mine and it still has water under the screen after 24 hours in rice. Anyone ever take one apart?

Or as my wife would say…did someone forget to empty their pockets😁.

Good luck, might call Dexcom and see if they will have any mercy.

I once took mine for an unplanned swim. Dexcom was sympathetic but did not replace and, to be fair, it’s not warranteed for water submersion, though I do wish it had some water resistance. I dried it in a bag with rice and after a week or two it finally dried out. I have it as a backup now and it seems to work again but the battery life seems to have taken a big hit in the process.

Exactly what my wife said!

So after two or three weeks the receiver came back and works perfect now. I put it in my oven warmer for 24 hours but it didnt seem to do much then I just put it in my sock drawer and left it, all snuggled and warm. Eventually I noticed it started beeping once in awhile but then it would beep but the screen was blank so I thought it was a goner. Finally it just came back and now works perfect. Did someone take pity on me and come switch it out?
