Are your lines sometimes smooth, sometimes lumpy?

The point of this post was to comment on how the data line on the CGM seemed more erratic for 5-minute data point to the next five minute data point. not the more general movement of the line. No, I certainly don't flatline all the time. Being on vacation has introduced a little less discipline. I'll be back to the routine soon.

Thanks for your comments.

I was just watching my sensor arrow indicators, in particular. Trying to pinpoint the rate of increase/decrease that leads to those crazy 100 point differences between the sensor and the machine. I was surprised at how different the readings were on a bad day. I tend to think my sensor is pretty accurate, and it is, but this data broke its brain a bit. I've been trying to figure out how I could change over to your guys's preferred method of many, tiny adjustments. I don't see it yet, but will keep thinking about it. I think our algorithms are quite different. Maybe I'm too fixated on long term trending. IDK. Someone mentioned the arrow indicators earlier. Made me think of this data. Might not be helpful.

??? I think you mean the interval between 5 and 10 min after insertion. No need to explain. Gotcha. Not concerned about the overall trending.

Terry--Through the night, I have a rather straight line--"drawn with a ruler" comments my partner. Even with the OmniPod, anytime I eat, the line goes up. I increase my basal, bolus and I:C ratios, but have not been able to keep my BG in a narrow range. On the Studio, my average is in the 120s, so I am encouraged that something is going OK. (Type I for almost 30 years, doing 7 to 10 injections a day, my A1C has dropped about 3 points with OnniPod and Dexcom.)--Ruthe

@ Ruthe, If you don't mind me asking, how long does it take before the post-meal comes back in range?
