As Summer Ends...
I watched the Hummers,
heard Warbling Vireos.
Diabetes stays.
My daily chores never change:
test and shoot and count my carbs.
Two young Hummingbirds
search my garden for nectar.
Costa Rica calls!
Don't leave--wait for the hostas!
Summer's end is so abrupt.
