Violet my youngest daughter is was our surprise baby. My wife found out on Christmas morning 3 years ago. My wife went completely natural with her birth and to our and the midwife’s knowledge was the first waterbirth at St Luke’s(now St Elizabeth’s Florence).
Violet has been the opposite of her sister in many ways, she has never been one to cuddle and is very much a momma’s girl. She is also as my Grandfather would sat full of ■■■■ and vinegar. There is nothing more amusing then watching her steal a toy from he big sister and hearing her laugh as she runs full speed away to throw the toy over the railing and down into the basement. Usually she is screaming in terror and smiling as her sister is chasing her. This is also done with things she is not suppose to have. Most recently a light bulb that we are still trying to figure out where it came from. Though we are not spanker’s, we will give the occasional swat. This with Violet is to no avail. If over the diaper she will turn around look at you and laugh. If on the bare behind, as in last week, when she gave me a bloody nose thanks to a swift kick while changing her. She will pause wrinkle up her face look at me, sit up smack my hand and say “Bad Daddy”.
She is much more of a nurturer then her sister. Watch her play and feed her baby dolls is fascinating compared to who sister who just undressed them and threw the naked babies on the ground. She is also my cheerleader it is not uncommon to hear her chanting "DADDY SHOT, DADDY SHOT" as I draw up my shots. This is followed most often by a "OK daddy" afterwards. She will also point out to my wife that "Daddy wants a motorcycle" when she sees one. Not much else to say on her but she is a happy sweet 2 yr old and between the 2 of them I dread teenage years, they already are giving me to much grey
