Got back from Diabetes camp with Mister yesterday - it was an awesome experience!
Mister has gotten so much better at playing with kids his own age and he was able to spend a good chunk of the time engaged in group play. That, plus the sleep-schedule reset, made the whole trip worth it.
Being able to connect with all the families that are also struggling with diabetes and really take an active role in supporting them made the trip so much more than merely 'worth it.'

I am happy for your experience. I never sent my son. Couldn't afford it but can imagine the learning experience it must be. Share what you've learned with those of us that can't send their kids.
I couldn't afford it either, but there are often subsidy programs available for camps like this. Contact the organizers and they will be happy to point you towards the resources available to parents like us.
