I usually go to bed around 90-100 wake up arond 70-80…
No, but it’s conceivable that stress hormones would kick in during a bad dream, but that seems like quite a jump? I notice you are a pumper, as am I, I would be more suspicious of the infusion site or something else. Also, is that the normal wake-up time? If not, you might want to set an alarm to check that time of morning for a few days. It’s so hard to figure out sometimes when things change for no apparent reason.

Yes but I think high readings cause the nightmares. Not sure if it’s for other reasons but my A1c was 10ish so I use to run very high and exp many nightmares that would scare Freddy and Jason. However this last month I’ve been on top of my readings and now my A1C has dropped and no dreams(bad ones that is). Could be a million reasons for the nightmares but convinced that is all has to do with my high readings. One more thing to add to my journal----bad dreams.
I have been as high as 140 on strong dreams. Doesnt matter if they are good or bad dreams just if they are vivid. I am sure it is stress. These are the dreams that often wake you up. I am T-2 so its probablydifferent for a T-1.
I haven’t tried to test because I so out of it when I wake in the middle of the night to use the bathroom I am lucky I don’t fall into the toilet! But I have often wondered if my numbers are higher after a weird dream (which would be every night - all my dreams are weird - not nightmares but weird).
I think it would make sense because pregnant women have a lot of vivid dreams and they are attributed to hormonal levels causing them which in turn effects our BG levels. So makes sense that they are all connected. I am sure even for non-diabetics this must be true than. I will bet when people have nightmares their BG probably goes up - just we are the only ones who test in the middle of the night to find out!
For me, it’s the opposite. High BG causes intense, terrifying dreams. Weeks before I was diagnosed, I had constant nightmares & dreams that were hallucinatory. I’d wake up & see what I was dreaming on the walls like a projection. I was completely awake. Once I woke my husband because I thought the downstairs was on fire. I saw flames coming from the staircase. Yep, he looked at me like I was nuts as I was pointing to flames. Don’t even want to know what my BG was then as it was frying my brain.
