got my pod set up today, so far no big problems, BUT is it possible to turn of the beeping of the PDM if you set a bolus? I have set the vibrate on but it still beeps if i bolus, and that annoys me somehow...

You have to go to Settings--System Setup--Alerts/reminders--Confidence reminders--off.
This will turn off ALL beeps the PDM makes during bolus/cg checks etc, but not the dreaded 90 min pod change cg reminder.
I have tried this, and I still occasionally get beeps. I also hate the fact that when you are attempting to use the pod for the full 80 hours, once it reaches the 72 hour mark, you are given a new beep every hour regardless as well. At 79 hours you get a beep every 5-10 minutes, and that continues until you physically turn the pdm off OR until you actually change the pod.
However, grousing about the beeps is apparently beating a dead horse according to a lot of folks here. The like/love the beeps, and those folks are typically parents that are watching out for younger folks.
I truly just wish the User Interface options of a computerized system (which is what the PDM is) would allow a bit more control. The so called answer that this is an FDA requirement is wholeheartedly personal opinions by non-Insulet employees. Truly not helpful if you ask me. By stating that something like that is an FDA Requirement is giving our federal government way too much credit for thinking out of the box. We all know how readily federal employees think... not at all, and more importantly, how quickly new rules/laws are generated that have much in the way of scientific knowledge or thought behind them.

John I’ll chime in on that complaining too. I hate those stupid beeps for hours and hours before I have to change the pod. My bulldog especially hates them it wakes him up at night then he runs off and hides. All the beeping is just plain annoying.
