Biscuit Mix

I’ve just discovered something that is very good, I want to recommend to everyone. It’s called Dixie Carb Counters Home Style Country Biscuit Mix. I ordered mine from Netrition.com, it comes 2 pouches of mix per bag, each pouch makes 12 biscuits. I ate 2 of these this morning with some sausage and 1 hour later my bg was 108. Two hours later it was 105. I’m happy! Here’s the nutrition label:
Serving size: 1 biscuit
111 calories
0 fat
0 cholesterol
199 mg sodium
160 mg potassium
4 g Total Carbohydrate
3 g Dietary Fiber
1 g Sugars
4 g Protein

I also ordered some Sugar Free Sensables Cream Filled Cupcakes, by TastyKake. These taste just like Hostess chocolate cupcakes! I ate some of these yesterday but didn’t test to see what they did to my bg. Here’s the nutrition label on them:
Serving Size: 2 cakes
Calories: 140
Total Fat: 9 g
Sat Fat: 3 g
Trans Fat: 0
Cholesterol: 20mg
Sodium: 210mg
Total Carbohydrates: 18g
Dietary Fiber: 4g
Sugars: 0g
Sugar Alcohol: 8g
Protein: 3g

Glad you liked the tastykakes! Those chocolate ones are awesome. I am down to my last box of them and will need to order more soon. Let us know how they affect your BG when you test after eating them.

I also have tried the carbquik. I have noticed with it I can’t follow the nutrition label and go with the net carb number they give. For me my body sees this biscuit as 8g of carb when I take the full carb and fiber amounts into consideration. 8g is not alot of carb so these are an awesome option for me. The cheese biscuit recipe is to die for, I make them all the time now.
