I am looking for a book to take to pre-school with Isabelle and read to her class. Something specifically for young children. Any ideas? I have looked, but haven’t had anything good.
We’ve read a few that are aimed to that age group. They were:
“Laura takes charge” by Rocky Lang and Sally Huss;
“Taking diabetes to school” by Kim Gosselin and Moss Freeman;
“Even little kids get diabetes” by Connie White Pirner;
& “The Dinosaur Tamer : And Other Stories for Children with Diabetes” by Marcia Levine Mazur, Peter Banks and Andrew Keegan.
Most are available through a library (at least they had some at our library).
There are some more available on Amazon.com, but I can’t speak for them since we haven’t read them.

www.JDRF.org has a kit for the children to take to school. They even have a video for the teachers and students about diabetes.
