I have a question for everyone! Being diabetic and dealing with that everyday and then put full time job , husband in renal failure, then a lump being found on annual mammogram. The biopsy is not getting done till next week because that’s the only appointment I could get so then 24-48 hours after the procedure is done you wait to see if its malignant mass or nothing to worry about. My question is how does one deal with all this and keep your numbers under 120 so the rest of my body doesn’t totally break down on me. I’m feeling very angry at my body for not holding its end of the deal up when I do the best anyone can do to keep it healthy… In need of words of wisdom.
Thanks
You said it in the last sentence, Hummingbird: You are doing the best anyone can do to keep healthy". You are dealing with an enormous amount of stress. Give yourself a break. Take care of yourself, emotionally as well as physically but not being hard on yourself and doing some things that give you pleasure and relax you.
Thanks.
Oh and even in far less stressful times I aim to stay under 140 not 120 which for me would take more intense energy away from the rest of my life (if I was even able to do this). But I do correct to 110.
I worry about correcting when I’m under 150 because in the last two weeks I have had two 30 episodes that I have never had before … They are not fun. Like I just had lunch was at 180 before but did not insulin because I was having a piece of chicken and a mountain of greens.no carbs at all . Ill see we’re I am in 2 hours but that’s a grey area for me
All you can do is keep doing your best to keep your body healthy. Some things are out of our control, but you can bet that keeping your blood sugars in check is doing good for your body one way or another! best of luck with the biopsy. Stay strong!
Time for a lumpectomy … Not happy
