I am thinking about getting a portable device. Has anyone been able to get CareLink on a portable device? To upload, read reports, etc...
I haven't chosen an operating system so I'm open to suggestions and if any special software is needed.
Thanks in advance for any help.
CareLink is just a website, so no software. With my version, you need a USB port to plug the receiver to when downloading from the pump. My tablet is a Kindle Fire, so I cannot upload to it, but I can read reports, etc. Just check for the USB or something that adapts for it.
Even if you have a USB it may not work. The Carelink software only works with mac OS and windows xp and windows 7. I know other have gotten it to work with other windows versions too.
I have a mac and I have no trouble at all.
I suggest you go to the store and plug your carelink into the demo and see if you can download your pump. No data is stored on the device so it is safe to do.
Just about everyone that sells this stuff have demos that are connected to the net.
Glad to hear it works well on Mac, because I'm going to make the switch soon from PC to Mac. I'm just over Windows and it ALWAYS screwing up.
spoken like a true mac head already.
I haven't tried to read it on my phone as I'm not sure how legible the reports would be?
