Cherries lower your blood sugar? Is it true?

Well I thought something was funny, as my blood sugar was121, and I ate about 1/2 cup or so of fresh cherries, and then about an hour later tested.. 82 so I just made a mental note.. well the next time I had a cherry experience, same results lower sugar than before I consumed a serving or two, interesting isnt it?? well I was wondering if anyone else has had the same results, I did find out that they some type of antioxidant quality that causes this, as they say that blueberries have the same agent... Things that make you go Hhhmmmmmm

Hmmm, odd. Cherry pie throws my BG through the roof, but i don’t have fresh cherries much… i’mma have to test that theory out.
Thanks!

It was probably a fluke. Fructose isn’t going to lower BG. Antioxidants are healthy, but they’re not going to make BG go down.

Cherries have a very low glycemic index so they won’t make your BG rise quickly, not like pineapple but they still contain carbs.

I have the same thing happen to me with Puffins cereal, regular flavor only. I measure it out by weight, bolus my usual morning ratio and by 11am, my blood sugar will be no more than 75. Every single time I eat them. I think they may be made of insulin. Maybe those cherries you ate are too!
