Chiropractors?

What is ya’lls experience and results with them? Can it help with the diabetes? Do you drop afterwards/ what precaution do you take if any before or after getting adjusted??

I really never saw one until about six months ago. My neurologist suggested it. I do not take any precautions, but like anything you do have to use common sense. I was not yet diagnosed but when I started at the chiropractor my back hurt so bad. the chiropractor suggested looking into Ankylosing Spondylitis and sure enough the rhuemetologist did the testing and I have it. Now it really does not matter much. i still see the Rhemy for the RA and and the chiropractor adjusts my back once a month. I will say this, it feels good when it is done.

Not to say anything bad about chiropractors in general there are some great ones out there that do great jobs, but there are people claiming that they can fix all your problems with an adjustment. I saw a video in one of my classes that was like a news undercover series into chriopractors and some claimed to cure colds with an adjustment. That’s just not possible. They claimed some other outragous things too. Now if you are going just to get an adjustment done I’m sure that you could find someone that your doctor would recomend. I don’t know of any precautions associated with diabetes. If you have a pump I’d make them aware of where it is located. Hope that helps some

I got to a chiropractor to help with chronic neck tension. It relaxes me & makes my neck & back feel better, but it doesn’t help with diabetes. I don’t take any precautions & adjustments don’t lower my BG.

I go for massages & that lowers my BG. I don’t inject right before massages because it seems that deep tissue work at the site of injection does get the insulin moving faster.

hey joy,
you’re going to hear every type of opinion on chiropractors! and they will probably be strong opinions!

i go to an incredible chiropractor who is part of a network of chiropractors who have a different philosophy than most chiropractors. if youre interested i can give you the website

i personally know many of his patients and he has helped them a TON with big health issues that other types of specialists have not been able to treat/help cure. One of them is a kid named jack who had 8 specialists and spent the first 4 years of his life on his back in bed- the only thing that helped him was getting adjustments from my chiropractor and now he is an energetic little kid running around without the problems he had. My chiropractor has helped a lot of diabetics with their blood sugar.

My experience with him is this: 3 week long headaches are gone, my blood sugars are lower but i also attribute that to diet and exercise changes. i never experienced sudden drops afterwards or anything like that! just remember everyone’s body responds differently!

Thanks for the views and experiences
