I was thinking of this for a long time about how diabetes could also come on and if it was so than I would educate people in the society about stress and/or trauma that could be cause by domestic violence and how in the long run it can effect a person’s health issues in the future. They do say that if you had not been diagnois with diabetes yet, but after a trauma or stressful situation your symthoms will come on and to your surprise land you in the hospital er. That’s how it happen to me. So I wonder cause I’m the only female in the family who has diabetes. And I’m not a bad food eater at the time either and always been active.
But like they say, this disease doesn’t discriminate at all. So now in the present, I’ve removed myself from any stressful situation and let people know that I don’t tolerate arguments, or alcohol, around my house. I’m already against drugs, so people know where I stand when it comes to my household and life. Given that respect has put the diabetes in more control. Not only for myself but for others to see what a successful household is without the drama and nothing but love and giving also to not expect receiving. If you have a story about this situation before finding out you were diabetic please add a comment or another post so that we can educate about the outcome of domestic violence rather physically, emotionally, sexually, or the stress itself. I went thru alot and I thought it was over till I found out I had diabetes a couple of years ago.
So please, lets educate about having peace in your life for others sake to as well. All my love to all of you all, Patti
Dont get me wrong on this, but it is nice to see that I am not the only one. 4 years ago when I was diagnosed with Diabetes Type 2, I was under tremendous personal and business stress. Due to not being a family history of diabetes, I was diagnosed with “stress induced diabetes”. Ever since I have been battling the eyes, neuropathy and high BS issues. I know it is here to stay, I just need to get my care team and I on the same page to control it.
Patti, I totally understand this and behind you 100%.
Rachel, I too have hypothyroidism and believe it messed up my pancreas in my early 20’s. Plus after 4 live pregnancies and 3 miscarriages. But my hypo is genetic thru my father’s side. So having diabetes really freaked me out.
Sohair, not only controling my diabetes but it also gives you the choice of how you want your life to pandle out and you are right with peace and happiness that follows. Because I no longer let the past control me but use it to have knowledge as to making a better household for my grandkids and for my family. Love the picture. Thanks.
Jefferey, I love receiving comments and messages from you and how you got the “stress induced diabetes” that is terrible. But from the feel of things, I know you are doing way better now. I would like to do more research on this cause there are alot of children out there who need us to soothe the problems one less child growing up to be an adult having diabetes is my mission and i know you are there like so many others to help me on this. Your friend always, Patti
