Easter brings some fun times.
But with all those Peeps, jelly beans, and chocolate eggs, there’s some math that we People With Diabetes must endure.
Unless, of course, we have a wonderful and loving spouse who LOVES MATH and does that calculation for us!
Here’s a tale from my wife, over at her blog Laughter & Tears. Enjoy, and share some of your D-Math stories (Easter related or not!)
Ha! That is my biggest problem with diabetes - working out the maths! I can read numbers but somewhere between my foggy brain and my writing hand they change values and will not work out properly! A 3 becomes an 8 or a 2 or a 4, or a 5 becomes a 4 or a 6! I hate it and my DN is unsympathetic! She thinks that I am lazy - which is why I am not good at writing my numbers down in a record diary, as they are wrong anyway! I have a meter that stores the numbers but she does not want to go looking into that and I cannot afford to buy a printer and one of those USB meters that would print out graphs etc without me having to do the maths!
Anyone else got this problem? And by the way, I have no spouse!
The maths is the worst thing about diabetes to me!
