Hey guys,
does anyone happen to know if I can use transmitter/receiver bought in one country with sensors from another?

I had a similar question except I plan to move to Canada in a few years and wanted to know about the Dexcom G4 in Canada.
The italian distributor told me that since sensors and stuff come from the US there's no problem about it.
But there was something in his voice that didn't convince me 100%
Amy,
I am also patiently waiting for answer to that question. I live in Canada, but have a US G4 system, I hope that I can continue using my transmitter and receiver with the Canadian sensors. The G4 has just recently been approved in Canada, so there are no official details yet, since Dexcom has not officially launched the product in Canada (they are estimating a fall 2013 launch). Back when I was using the US Seven + system I asked Dexcom about compatibility and they didn't give me a direct answer, but said that it was unlikely that the US and Canada systems would be compatible...this was a couple years ago, hopefully things have changed since then.
Rick,
I don't believe there is any difference between sensors in different countries. There will only be a difference in the packaging for the internal documentation that comes in different languages, but that's about it.
I've used a Dexcom 7+ since 2009 with sensors bought first in the US then in Italy, and there was never any difference.
Of course, things can be different on the receiver, with different dates/time formats and, more importantly, different units for BG readings. I am Italian but now live in Switzerland, and had to change from mg/dl to mmol/l, which was relatively easy.
Ciao, Luca
Yeah, got another email from the second Italian distributor that confirms it.
However, now that I know someone has done it first person I feel much better about it.
Tks Luca!
