Dexcom G5 Transmitter and Receiver with G4 Sensor

Hello fellow Dexcom fans,

I just got my new G5 receiver and transmitters, but I still have a stash of G4-only sensors (not the ones that say “G4/G5”). Can I use my old sensors with my new transmitter and receiver? As far as I know the G5 sensor is exactly the same as the G4 sensor, but maybe they’ve hard-coded the new tech to refuse to interface with the old sensors.

G4 and G5 sensors are identical. There is no way to distinguish them.
