Dexcom in a bikini, ladies help!

okay so I have had my dexcom for several months now and I love it! But I do wonder where I will wear it during the summer. I will be in a bathing suit this weekend and I can not figure out where to put it. I do not really want it to be visible because I do not feel like explaining it. I usually wear it on my lower back and stomach and that is all. I have heard of people wearing it on the upper butt has anyone done this and will I get accurate readings??

you will see athletes wearing in on thier tricep muscle..it might need help installing..also i where my pump sites on my butt below my speedo or tri-shorts when i need a new space to wear the infusion site..i have never worn the dex back there but i would think if you can do an infusion below the swimsuit line, not sure why you could not do a dex the same way..or you could skip wearing dex for a couple of days and doing a lot of sticks

yea I am sure the Dex would be fine back there so I think I will try it out. thanks for response and yes I could skip wearing it but I'm so comforted by it I can't ha! thanks again

I've tried it out on my upper butt and the readings work pretty well. Usually takes a day or two to for the sensor to get settled though. I've also attempted outer thighs and my triceps, but they're not very helpful for hiding tan lines. The upper butt also hurts a lot less than the outer thighs or arms.

If you would send pictures of yourslf in a bikini I would be happy to advise on placement of the Dexcom ಠ_ಠ

Come on man, can you be anymore creepy? She didn't come here to get hit on.

That's exactly where I wear it when I know I'll be in a bikini all week. It does take some time to settle for me, too, but once it does, it works well. You just need to remember it's there and not yank it off when dressing/undressing. Also, if you're in the water for long periods of time, the adhesive can start to wear off, so you might want to add extra tape to it.

I have been using my arm for quite awhile. I had read posts from many arm wearers that they install lengthwise on the upper arm. For the first time, I decided to try it across the top of my arm, about 1.5 inches below my shoulder. The insertion points towards the back of my arm (which has just a small amount of flab). It is now day 2 and I am having excellent results and no pokey feelings (which usually means there's some bending going on.) Added bonus is that girl-cut short sleeves come down far enough to hide the sensor.
