Does anyone here participate in Diabetes Blog Week?
This is the first year that I've participated, and I am on day three. I found out about it from a friend who is doing it and got all the information about from the blog "Bittersweet".
I don't have a blog specifically dedicated to diabetes, like many of the other participants, but I have dedicated my usual blog (about being a first year teacher) to diabetes this week.
So, any other bloggers out there participating?
Hi Jamie Dee. I'm not participating officially, but just for fun I did write one blog in honor of the Diabetes Blog Week: http://www.tudiabetes.org/profiles/blogs/fourth-annual-diabetes-blog-week-about-mother-s-day Cheers!
I am participating :) Although I have to get working on my day 3 post! http://portablepancreasgirl.com/
Derp, didn't add my link.

Other two look great! I hope there are more!
I occasionally will check out blogs but there's too many and I prefer message boards (i.e. Tudiabetes.org/ forum...ha ha!) as I like the dialogue there. I am wordy enough that I don't feel the need to write a blog and like talking to people more than I perceive blogfanning to be.
That being said, that's interesting that your student loathed history b/c of the dead thing. I was a history major and love reading about Romans or even better, Romans talking about themselves. Which is sort of like blogging, particularly stuff like Tacitus that's compiled from fragments held in hoards since back then. Plus, we're sort of connected since the ancient Greeks named our disease!!
Hah very true! Ancient Rome was my favorite unit because it was just so fascinating.
Hi Jamie!
I participate at www.unexpectedblues.com. i love diabetes blog week. it is my first time, but it got me thinking about topics i hadn't thought about blogging before. It has been awesome. i also love getting to go see everyone else's perspective. :-)
Yeah, same! I think I might submit some ideas for next year as well. And, I love taking the time to sit down and read other people's stories. My seniors are graduating this week, so it's been incredibly hectic, so as soon as I submitted all my grades, I use my extra prep period to read all the blogs. It's a surprisingly good stress reliever. :)
I really enjoyed your post from May 6 when you were talking about not being able to see the numbers on the pump. I think that's a valid concern worth bringing up to pump companies. I am sure the technology is available to make screens bigger and it would also appeal to a larger audience. I also admire your ability to deal with two medical issues in the way I've seen on your blog. :)
Also, your list of 10 accomplishments is pretty freaking fantastic. I love #2, and Lancet ranks in the top 5 cutest dogs seen online. :)
