I remember all too well school administration and teachers handling the ups and downs of me being newly diagnosed in a very ham fist’ed sort of way.
Perhaps they don’t need a total smack down, but a good old fashioned made to feel uncomfortably stupid is a better way… 8^)

you know when i was in high school i had an english teacher that had a fridge full of snacks for the whole class. she charged a dollar for stuff. when i told her that i had type 1 diabetes she just said if you need a snack go ahead and get it, then when you can, you can pay for it,.
Turnabout is fair play. Maybe both the principal and the cook need to write her a letter of apology.
