Distributed computing projects for diabetes

For those that don’t know…

Distributed computing uses the idle time in your computer to process data that can be used by scientists to do research. Generally, the goal of course is to find a cure for diseases, but some projects try to find extraterrestrial life ect. By using the down time of thousands, or hundreds of thousands of computers around the world, it generates an array of computers that can be more powerful than the newest super computers.

I recently purchased a laptop and now my old desktop is only used for storage of pictures ect. I was wondering if anyone has found a distributed computing project dedicated to finding a cure for diabetes.

I’m a computer nerd…
and I can’t help it…

The closest is probably that one: http://cbl-boinc-server2.cs.technion.ac.il/superlinkattechnion/
I don’t think there are any that deal with diabetes only.
