Hahaha I know and unfortunately I am a SODIUM addict. Luckily i have WONDERFUL blood pressure, I'd much rather have salty than sweet any day. But I still try to not over do it. Want to enjoy my salt for many many more years to come.
There u go Christy always the salt for me too. No bp problems yet! LOL!
Every Sat. McChicken sandwich and small lite lemonade. Dollar menu.
Just in case you didnt know, the fish sandwiches are fried also
Taking a bus from Minnesota to Virginia takes guts. I took one during my college years from Iowa City to Cincinnati and back for a job interview. Wretched. I didn't get the job, either. I was never so glad to be back in Iowa City. (On another note, I'm glad to see someone from Moorhead. I grew up in Fergus Falls, took many shopping trips to Fargo-Moorhead.)
Not often, but if I have to (which, in the course of my job, is not infrequent), I will. The food is just lousy.
I do eat at Wendy's quite a bit though, and Burger King (though not as much). I haven't sworn off fast-food.
I don't go to McD or any other Fast Food places. Haven't for years ( before D ). I don't eat any meat so that eliminates most of their menu. Last time I was in a Fast Food place the whole place smelled greasy to me. I can live without it.
+1! I am slightly addicted to Egg Mc Muffins. I make my own version at home all the time!
With Celiac, Diabetes and more, the only fast food I'm comfortable with is Subway's salad. Since I can make a better salad at home, I don't eat much fast food.
I love junk food Including Mickey Dee's. I wouldn't say I eat there often but at least a few time a year. The Fries are heavenly.
I usually feel worse when I eat at McDonald's than I do about diabetes...
No. But I use their restrooms occasionally.
Not really... I used to a lot more, but I haven't had a taste for it in a couple of years. If it is the only option, I will get chicken McNuggets. I did try their oatmeal recently, but it is way too carby for me to have on the regular. I do love their BBQ sauce. I usually order off of the dollar menu... that way the serving size isn't too huge!
I love Wendy's chili!
Me too. I worked at Wendy's for several years in high school (well after being diagnosed with T1). That was when they had the SuperBar and had just introduced their "Junior" line of 2 oz. hamburgers. I do believe they've got the healthiest fast-food and the chili is a big part of it.
Although with their new burgers being served on a buttered bun, I'm beginning to stray from that belief.
Just what part of the chicken is the mcnugget? Maybe I don't want to know. HA!
Just if we are starving and there are no better options, like at the airport.
We recently took our son to Burger King... he specially asked that for his birthday :S
But, it is definitely something we avoid.
There's nothing wrong with the food at McDonalds.............it's just the amount and frequency that people cannot adjust to. Once or twice a year is fine, but many go there every week. That will cause health problems later in life (tell that to a 20 yr old and it falls on deaf ears).
